He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Jerde and Eleanor Jerde-Jania; his wife Judith Ann Jerde; his brothers, Jerry and Arnold; his in-laws, Frank and Leona Krocka; his brothers-in-law, Rodger Krocka of Texas, Michael Krocka of Duluth, Wayne Teachworth of Duluth, Gordon Doble of Cloquet and Wendell Goad of Carlton; and his close friend Betty Kubis.
He is survived by: his children, Robert (Darcy), Cheryl (Curt) and Kenny "Butch"; his grandchildren, Austin, Morgan, Logan, Nicholas, Haylie, Brittney and Danielle; his great grandchildren, Aspen and Alexis; his sisters, Betty Doble and Ruthanne "Babe" Goad; and his pet Joe.
