He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Erkkila and Enni Erkkila (Gustafson); his sister Laverne; his nephews, Dale, John and Randy Wayrynen; his friend Al Twistol; and also Karen Erkkila.
He is survived by: his children, Mitch (Jean), Tim (Peggy), Kevin (Dana), Loren (Terri), Kristen Lieser (Tim) and Mathew (Kristen); and his close friend Betty Juno. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
