He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Puumala and Elsa Puumala; and his siblings, Edward, Edwin, David, Kathleen Besonen, Doris Puumala, Delores Levijoki, Lorraine Puumala and Carol Megginson.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Nicholson of Esko; his children, Jon Puumala (Cheryl) of Andover, Joyce Bergstedt (Philip) of Esko and Linda Clasen (Scott) of Roseville; and his brother Marshall Puumala (Nancy) of Jellico, TN. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
