He is survived by: his wife Shirley Mattson; his children, Susan Dexter (Mark) of Duluth, Curtis Eckman (Cathy) of Stillwater and Mary Stanaway (Chris) of Duluth; his grandchildren, Eric Dexter, Nathan Dexter (Cassandra), Matthew Dexter, Brian Eckman, Abbie Eckman, Holly Stanaway and Leah Stanaway; and his siblings, Grace Mapes and Jim Eckman (Donna) of Moose Lake.
