It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Mae Hietala (Esko, Minnesota), born in Duluth, Minnesota, who passed away on September 10, 2018, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her spouse Rod; and her children, Susan LeVahn (Jim), Stephen Hietala (Betsy), Paul Hietala, Gail Fuenning (Jon) and John Hietala. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
