He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Thompson and Ellen Thompson (Aro); his wife Marcella Janczak; and his brothers, LeRoy Thompson "Snortin'Norton" (Genevieve), Donald Thompson "Peanuts" and Rodney "Doc" Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Thompson and Leeanne Baker "Cookie" (John "John Boy"); his grandchildren, Naomi Bents "Punkin" (Nathan "Nate"), Ian Thompson "Buckshot" (Tara), Derek Baker "Hawkeye" (Jessica Stevenson "Jess") and Andrew Baker "Radar"; his great grandchildren, Ashlyn "Sweetheart", Jeremiah "Jabberbox", Lilly "Little Flower", Grayson and Arthur "Little Me"; his brother Stanley "Butch" (Shirley); and his sister-in-law Charlene Thompson "Char". He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
