He was predeceased by: his parents, Syvert Raaen and Ragna Raaen (Erickson); his son Layton; and his siblings, Vernon, Vivian Rask and Vyonne Bale.
He is survived by: his wife Jan. He is also survived by five nephews; three nieces; and several cousins.
