He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludvig Sannes and Sophie Sannes (Peterson); his son David; his siblings, Cyrus, Lawrence, Harry, Arthur, Ray, Norman, Charlotte Lewis, Garnet Kappes and Vera Werpy; and his stepsons, Calvin Tuseth, Dennis Tuseth and Dennis Geving.
He is survived by: his children, Leslie and Kenneth Jr. (Leanne) of Beltrami; his wife Shirley of Fargo, ND; his sister Dora Olson of Ada, MN; his children, Les (Janet) of Mentor, Ron (Lori) of Fertile, MN and Shar Heck of Fargo, ND; and his stepchildren, Scott Geving (Carla) of Hope, ND, Dianne Brandt (Wes) of Detroit Lakes and Shannon Noah (James) of Crookston, MN. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
