He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Moran and Gerrit Planten III. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Deanna, Joe, Kris and John; his former wife Rita; his grandchildren, Zack (Charise), Ava, DJ and Theo; and his pet Kiki. He is also survived by stepchildren, extended family, good friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grace Lutheran Church (332 Vance Ave S, Erskine, MN 56535). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
