It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Gary Cardwell (Erhard, Minnesota), born in Wilmot, South Dakota, who passed away at the age of 79, on February 19, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Cardwell and Ethel Cardwell (Fitz); and his sisters, Fay Webster and Shirley Steen. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Palmer; his children, Bradley (Jamie) of Ortonville, MN, Kelly (Lisa) of Forsyth, MT, Gary, Pat and Curtis Cardwell (Jennifer) of Pelican Rapids, MN; his grandchildren, Deven (Megan), Branden (Miranda), Logen (Brooke), Heather (Josh), Hana (James), Corbin, Hope (Kassidy), Katy, Nate and Austin; his brother Larry Cardwell; and his stepsiblings, Donald Palmer, Arlys Brown (John), Hazen Palmer (Red), Toddy Stickland, Dean Palmer (Carol), Darryll Palmer (Beth) and Sandi Stotesbery (Dick). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
While maintaining social distancing guidelines, we are now able to accommodate gatherings of up to 250 people. The use of face masks by attendees is recommended, and we will continue taking the necessary steps to keep our facility clean.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary's name can be made to River Front on Main, Hospice of Red River Valley, or Clinton Care Center.
