She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Carl Gieschen and Jennie Farnum Gieschen (Phelps); her sister Kathy Landdeck; and her granddaughter Hope Mitchell. She is survived by: her husband John Moe; her children, Josh Moe (Danielle), Rachel Dexter (Josh), Nathan Moe (Colleen), Bekah Mattson (Don), Abby Emerson (Paul) and Deborah Mitchell (Christopher); her grandchildren, Alex Moe (Jenna), Blake Jacobson, Tyler Dexter, Zoey Koss (Hayden), Zach, Kylie Moe, Donovan, Megan, Olivia, Isaiah Mattson, Phoebe, Zeke Emerson, Harper, Riah and Cullum Mitchell; her great grandchildren, Weston Moe, Avery and Cameron Koss; and her siblings, Gail Grauer (Dick), Kurt Gieschen (Sandy), Grace Phillips and Becky Sharkey (Art).

Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial donations to Immanuel Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice in Valery's honor.
