He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrel Stangel and Norma Stangel (Wolford); and his siblings, Gary, Darrel Jr. Stangel, Faye Burke and Joann Evenson.
He is survived by: his wife Maryetta Fletcher; his children, Don Stangel of Emily, Barry Stangel of Crosslake and Tresa Stangel of Fairbanks, Alaska; and his siblings, Gene Stangel (Janice) of Crosby and Carol Helmers (Kenny) of Tipton, MO. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
