He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Stern and Evelyn Stern (Seidel); his brother Marvin Stern; and his siblings-in-law, Joe M Smith, Alex Louis, Alan Anderson, Al Smude, Vince Schunk and Pauline Smude.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann; his children, Judith Benik, Jon Stern (Karen), Jim Stern (Kim) and Joe Stern; his grandchildren, Dylan Benik, Dustin Benik (Deeann), Jake Stern, Jessica Istvanovich (John) and Jared Stern (Jeenah); his stepgrandchildren, Jamie and Justin Warndahl; his sisters, Joann Louis, Donna Knadel (Bill) and Jan Anderson; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Ellen Schunk, Norman Heiling (Sharon), Dan Heiling (Joyce) and Many. He is also survived by Five Great-Grandchildren.
Due to Covid19, A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date.
