He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Heyn and Amelia Heyn (Hintz); his daughters, Christel Heyn and Julie Livingood; his granddaughter Rachelle Gervais; and his siblings, Bud, Jerry, Ted Heyn, Virginia Macumber and Susan Johnson.

He is survived by: his children, Ken Heyn of Emily, Mark Heyn (Carolyn) of Brainerd and Tina Charpentier of Hackensack; and his siblings, Fred Heyn (Bernadine) of Sweeny, TX, John Heyn of Moose Lake, Mike Heyn (Jane) of Ottawa, KS, Lois Schlampp of Eden Prairie, Kay Watson of Deerpark, TX and Eileen Carroll of Seattle, WA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

“Sorry for your loss - all descendants of Lou. As his sister my nickname for Louis is Lou-Jigger. It's a family thing. We grew up together "on the farm". He taught me a lot.
