He was predeceased by: his parents, David Sandquist and Lorraine Sandquist (Hutton) of Cambridge, IA.; his parents-in-law, Leon and Jane Golden (Bell); and his brother-in-law Tom Golden.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn (Golden); his daughters, Jodi Atkinson (Bruce) of Eagan, MN and Lori Hinz (Chad Roemhildt) of Lakeville, MN.; his grandchildren, Sam, Emily Atkinson, Isabel and Cooper Hinz; his siblings, Martha Brown (Paul) of Southport, NC, Kenneth Sandquist (Callie) of Cambridge, IA and Cindy Goertz (Ron); his sister-in-law Sandy Golden of Nevada, IA; and his aunt Bonnie King of Des Moines, IA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be selecting a charitable organization to donate in John's memory.
