He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Berndt and Ellen Berndt (Gehrke); his siblings-in-law, Georgene Roemhildt and Orville Krienke; and his parents-in-law, Marlow and Rosalind Roemhildt (Knish).
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Roemhildt; his children, Jason Berndt of Elysian Township, Adam Berndt of Elysian Township and Miranda Cole (Steven) of Delavan; his stepgrandchildren, Jami Wick (Anthony) and Justin Cole; his sister Lorna Krienke of Waseca; his siblings-in-law, Clayton Roemhildt of Elysian, Carol Wendt (Duane) of Elysian and Lois Flynn (Earl) of Elysian; and also Hadilynn. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
