He was predeceased by: his spouses, Lee Sue Smith and Molly Smith; his stepdaughter Joanne Dyvig; his parents, Carl Smith and Margaret Smith; and his sister Christine Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Lillian McCrady and Joshua Smith (Serena); his stepsons, Rick Gans (Lisa) and Jim Gans (Tracey); and his grandchildren, Tifani Hulsey (Chris), Jordyn Bowers, Benjamin Bowers, Margaret McCrady, Carl Smith, Jacob Smith and Abigail Smith.
