He was predeceased by: his father Orlando Ackerman; and his brothers, Phillip, Mike and Joel Ackerman. He is survived by: his children, Shellie Poetter (Dan) of Blue Earth, Tara Urbia (David) of Farmington, Josh Ackerman (Julie) of Blue Earth and Sarah Lopez (Manny); his siblings, Orlando Ackerman, Teita Amberg, Judy Barnes, Meem Storvick, Kas Greenfield and Greg Ackerman; his grandchildren, Lukas, Lexi Poetter, MacCoy, Mattea, Matilda Urbia, Delanie, Kaden Ackerman, Calli Tandberg, Sofia Lopez and Eva Lopez; and his close friend Pamela Tandberg.
