It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim Leenderts (Ellsworth, Minnesota), who passed away on February 9, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Abel Leenderts and Rakie Leenderts (Mulder); his wife Peggy; his grandson Brad Gertsema; his great grandchild Isaac Gertsema; and his siblings-in-law, Hendrene, Lois, Kari Leenderts, Cornie Hoff and Al Hughes.
He is survived by: his son Doug Gertsema (Sara) of Overland Park, KS; his siblings, Reva Hoff of Hills, Richard Leenderts of Hills, Leonard Leenderts (Delores) of Hills, Harold Leenderts (Torberg) of Olso, Norway and Henrietta Hughes; and also, Joe Gertsema (Mary) of Sioux Falls, SD, Jim Gertsema (Sandi) of Slayton, Margaret Essman (Keith) of Adrian, Mike Gertsema (Vicki), Dan Gertsema (Barb) of Overland Park, KS, Rick Gertsema (Carrie) of Duluth, Caroline Davis (Joe) of Midland, MI and Tracey Lorang (Ray) of Hartford, SD. He is also survived by twenty six grandchildren; thirty three great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
