He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Frederick of Kenneth; his children, Kristy Vander Ziel (Phil) of Leota, Rebecca Van Batavia (Kevin) of Virginia Beach, Matthew Groen (Renae) of Spirit Lake and Michael Groen of Brookings; his grandchildren, Ty, Benjamin, Nevaeh, Amelia and Emma; and his siblings, Karen (Michael) of Worthington, Ken (Rhonda) of Ellsworth and Deb (LaVearl) of Luverne.
