She was predeceased by: her parents, Emra Wentler and Verna Wentler (Horton); her husband Lyle Balster; her son-in-law Dallas Mulder; her granddaughters, Jessica Julius and Connie Van Wyhe; her great grandchild Robert Lyle Dreke; her brothers, Raymond, Lawrence and Davin Wentler; and also, Bill Top, Gladys Brumly, Lorraine Grubaugh, Doris Allard, Alice Stevenson and Geraline Wentler McCarthy.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Van Wyhe (Ray), Barbara Dreke (Bob) of Rock Rapids, IA, Brenda Hoffman (Steve) of Rock Rapids, IA, Lila Erlandson (Glenn), Lola Donth (Paul) of Rock Rapids, IA and Larry Balster (Sharon); her grandchildren, Randy Mulder (Marcia), Pamela Likiness (Drew), Melissa Ayers (Mark), Tony Mulder (Julie), Travis Dreke (Tara Lyle), Kyle Dreke (Megan), Curt Hoffman (Carle), Coreen Montag (James), Mindy Farsdale (Ryan), Nathan Erlandson (Abby), Carmen Henriksen (Jared) and Eric Berning (Janel); her sister Alvina Breuer of Sibley, IA; and her sister-in-law Mabel Balster of Sibley, IA.. She is also survived by forty six great-grandchildren; eleven great great-grandchildren.
