He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Rysavy and Roselyn Rysavy (Simon); his grandchildren, Hannah Rysavy and Trevor Kaplan; his in-laws, Kenneth and Ramah Johnson; his brothers, Jerry Jr. and David Rysavy; and his siblings-in-law, Gary Wandrey, Wayne Johnson and Gail Rysavy.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl (Johnson); his children, Benjamin Rysavy (Wendy) of Owatonna, Jacob Rysavy (Carrie Kirk-Long) of Owatonna, Rachel Underwood (Racey) of Ellendale, Karen Patten (Tyler) of Neenah, WI and Katelyn Rysavy of Ellendale; his grandchildren, Hailey, Marcus Rysavy, Clayton, Kendyl Kaplan, Eli Underwood and Jack Patten; his siblings, Thomas Rysavy (Ana) of Random Lake, WI, Kenneth Rysavy (Betty) of Laurens, SC, Michael Rysavy (Sharon) of Geneva, MN and Rita Wandrey of Owatonna; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Rysavy of Owatonna and Arlys Rysavy of Owatonna.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Brick-Meger Funeral Home (1603 Austin Rd, Owatonna, MN 55060-4021). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (9946 SE 24th Ave, Owatonna, MN 55060). A burial will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Holy Trinity Cemetery (9946 SE 24th Ave, Owatonna, MN 55060).
