He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Leidner and Agnes Leidner; his brother Carl Leidner; his wife Louise (Linkert); his children, Jodi (Doug), Jeff and Jon (Sue); his grandchildren, Lisa (Adam), Dustin (Mallory), Mitchell, Matthew, Jacob and Daniel; his great grandchildren, Mackenzy, Carter and Declan; and his siblings, Earl Leidner (Gloria), Darlene Schuman, Shirley Barnes (Kenny), Judy Morlock (Dean), Phyllis Bolton, Janice Resop and Eileen Hanson. He was also cherished by many other relatives and friends.
