He is survived by: his sister Gloria Fennell (William) of La Pointe, Wisconsin; his nephew Aron Fennell (Amber) of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; his great-nephew Trentyn; his uncle Richard Grunwald of Garner, Iowa; his cousins, Dan Grunwald (Judy) of Ventura Iowa, Nancy Tovar (Tim) of Corvallis, Oregon, Jeff Blesi of Minneapolis and Betty Massie (Chuck) of Fort Myers, Florida; his close friends, Denny and Mary Johnson of Minneapolis; his stepchildren, Melisa Horn (Paul) of Forest Lake and Tim Ritter (Angela) of Columbia Heights; and his stepgranddaughters, Zoe of St. Paul, Isabele of North Branch and Sadie of Forest Lake.
