He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Zehringer and Ruth Zehringer (Martinson); his sister Jeanne Lou; his daughter Nicole; and his nephews, Tony, Scott and David.

He is survived by: his wife Betty; his sister Mona Kohl (Dave); his son Mitch (Paula); his nieces and nephews, Janelle, Kim and Greg; his grandchildren, Sam, Joe, Sarah, Tyler, Melissa, Katie, Zach and Garrett; and his great grandchildren, Milo and Atlas.
