With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Kenneth Eggen of Elk River, Minnesota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John left this world on December 20, 2024 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Eggen and Eleanor Eggen (Bostrom); and his sister Marie Botko. He is survived by: his wife Marlys Eggen of Elk River, MN; his sons, David Eggen, Daniel Eggen (Tracy) of Otsego, MN and Philip Eggen (Beth) of Geneva, IL; his grandsons, Boyd and Bramlett; and his nieces and nephews, Lisa, Libbi, Kevin, Neil, Debra, Pamela, Sheila and Nancy. He is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (9231 Viking Blvd NW, Elk River, MN 55330). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in John's name are preferred to St. John Lutheran Church in Nowthen, MN.
