With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joan Irene Ryan of Elk River, Minnesota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence; her parents, Gerald Joyce and Margaret Joyce (Walentiny); her stepfather Phillip Bittman; and her granddaughter Amber Rose Bouma.
She is survived by: her son Daniel Ryan (Becky); her grandson Patrick; her child Laurie Erion (Robert); her grandson Eric; her daughter Julie Bouma (Todd); and her grandchildren, Ryan, Aaron and Matthew. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Church of Saint Andrew (566 4th St NW, Elk River, MN 55330). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery (7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55450).
