He was predeceased by: his wife Judith; and his parents, John Schubert and Lorraine Schubert. He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Nelson of Elk River, Catherine Schultz of Forest Lake and John Schubert of Tomah, WI; his grandchildren, Jacob Nelson, Jessica Selbitschka, Kyle Nelson, Luke Nelson, Charles Schultz and Shawn Schubert; his great grandchildren, Brett, Isabel, Brooke, Morgan, Riley, Amelia and Madelyn; his sister Beverly Mahlke (Alan) of Brooklyn Park; his niece Laura Knutson (Tyler) of Champlin; and his brother-in-law Jerome Olesen (Barb) of Elk River.
