We bid farewell to Darlene Mae Cottrell of Elk River, Minnesota, born in Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 12, 2024 at the age of 88. Darlene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugo Johnson and Myrtle Johnson (Lund); her husband Wes Cottrell; and her siblings, Harold Johnson, Lee Johnson and Judy Miller.
She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela Cottrell, Carolyn Mitzuk (Pat) and Gretchen Marcotte; and her sister Linda Meyer (Jerry). She is also survived by five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Central Lutheran Church (1103 School St NW, Elk River, MN 55330). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donor's choice memorials are preferred in memory of Darlene.
