She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Kautz and Frances Kautz (Sanow); her husband Leo Sowden; her sons, Robert and Jim; her grandson Daniel; her brother Elmer Kautz; and her brothers-in-law, Norman Erickson, Norman Pottratz and Jim Caulfield.
She is survived by: her sons, Charles Sowden of Pipestone, Minnesota, Daryl Sowden (Sherry) of Pipestone, Minnesota and David Sowden of Pipestone, Minnesota; her siblings, Walter Kautz (Julie) of Slayton, Minnesota, Dorothy Pottratz of Woodlake, June Osborn of Gil, Ardith Caulfield of Ward and Mary Erickson of Minot; and her close friend Barb Westerbur. She is also survived by six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
