She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Mecklenberg and Alice Mecklenberg (Wilke); her son Allan Bentley Haarstad; and her siblings, Janet Bjugan, DeMaris Coleman and Rodney Mecklenberg.
She is survived by: her husband Harlan Haarstad; her sons, Shawn Haarstad of Elbow Lake, Allen Haarstad (Mickey) of Pelican Rapids, MN and Chris Haarstad (Desiree) of Elbow Lake; her grandchildren, Benjamin (Tasha), Tyler, Austin (Cody), Heather, Jordan, Annabelle, Jeremiah and Xander; her great grandchildren, Walker and Rainy Haarstad; and her brothers, Curt Mecklenburg and Bob Mecklenberg. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
