He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Carlson and Madge Carlson (Drexler); his sister Donna Gjervold; and his brothers-in-law, Duane Gjervold and Don Vogel.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Keller of Elbow Lake; his nephew Boone Carlson; his son Corey Carlson (Michelle) of Fargo, ND; his stepchildren, Larry O'Meara (Lois) of Bemidji, MN, Edee O'Meara of Winston-Salem, NC and LouAnn Bullis (Jeff) of Apple Valley, MN; and his siblings, Lynn Carlson (Robin) of Alexandria, MN and Marlene Vogel of Morris, MN.. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
