It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lloyd Van Essen of Edgerton, Minnesota, who passed away on June 24, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Laura De Kam; his son-in-law Jim Van Santen; and his brothers, Wesley, Harold (Alice) and John.
He is survived by: his son-in-law Bob Jager; his wife LaVonne of Edgerton, MN; his daughters, Marilyn Van Santen of Luverne, MN, LeAnne Schoolmeester (Glen) of Chandler, MN and Karla Schiebout (Lyle) of Trosky, MN; his grandchildren, Jeff Van Santen (Alanna), Melissa Fick (Brian), Travis Van Santen (Ronna), Mike Schoolmeester (Bobbi), Kristin Rowe (Geoff), Pam Ossefoort (Isaac), Karrie Johnson, Bryan Schiebout and Lisa Kounkel (Zack); his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Van Essen and Hermina Jowstra; and his stepchildren, Peg Jager (Bob) of Sheldon, IA and Steve Smith (Angie) of Sheldon, IA.. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
