She was predeceased by: her husband Harold; and her siblings, Violet Eichten, Virgil Johnson, Verna "Tricky" Joosten, Ray Johnson, Lloyd Johnson, Jesse Johnson and Earl Johnson.

She is survived by: her children, Douglas Schafer of Worthington, MN, Shelley (Phil Sweetman) and Sue (John Peters); her grandchildren, Shannon Sweetman (Jay Fourniea), Stacie Obermoller (Nick), Jake Sweetman (Makenzie), Joe Peters (Chelsy), Maggie Peters (Dylan Bangert) and Shane Sweetman; and her sisters-in-law, Eileen Johnson of Marshall, MN and Shirley Johnson of Slayton, MN. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
