He is survived by: his wife Jaletta Theis of Eden Valley; his children, Jim (Ann), Lila Schmidt (Mike), Bernice Finne (Steve), Elmer Jr. (Mary), Linda Thielen (Jim), Reuben (Janice), Michael (Delores), Margaret Albrecht (John), Paula Schleppenbach (Gregg), Daniel (Darice), Charles (Natalie), Vicki Faber (Ted) and Trude Schlangen (Chad); his siblings, Margaret Torborg, Jerome and John; and his daughters-in-law, Jan and Lynn Burg (Jim). He is also survived by 52 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren.
