He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Bedford and Barbara Bedford (Helvig); and his brother Willis. He is survived by: his wife Harriet Ann Mesenburg; his children, Keith Bedford of Eden Prairie, Judy Keliher of Lakeville, Thomas Bedford (Cathy) of St. Paul, Linda Wandrei (Phil) of Edina and Daniel Bedford (Kelly) of Burnsville; and his sisters, Audrey Geneva (Don) of Shoreview and Thelma Yurek of Minnetonka. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions face masks will be required, In lieu of flowers, donations to one of Verland's favorite organizations would be preferred: Sharing and Caring Hands, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Notre Dame Academy or Minneapolis-St. Paul Catholic Charities.
