He is survived by: his siblings, Jennifer Berndt (Phillip) and Christopher Ekern (Angela) of Northfield, MN; his nephews, Elias Ekern and Liam Berndt; his niece Frances Ekern; his aunt Julie Raphael of Detroit Lakes, MN; his cousin Mimi Raphael of Boulder, CO.; his aunts, Gwen Lilya of Soudan, MN and Carol Bergren (Keith) of Detroit Lakes, MN; and his uncle John Munn (Jane) of Fort Myers, FL. He is also survived by many cousins and countless friends.
