He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Hassing and Dallas Hassing (Millmann); and his sister Patricia Hassing. He is survived by: his wife Janet Norem; his children, Jeff Hassing (Erin) of Urbandale, IA, Larisa Hassing (Andrew Dahlgren) of Mankato, MN, Matt Hassing (Crystal) of Shakopee, MN and Isaac Hassing of Wells, MN; his grandsons, Emmett and Elijah Hassing of Urbandale, IA; his siblings, Richard Hassing of Waseca, MN, Margaret Hassing of Iowa Falls, IA, Tim Hassing (Sandi) of Owatonna, MN, Joe Hassing of Albert Lea, MN and Nancy Irons (Gary) of Geneva, IA; and his aunts, Lorraine Hassing of Blue Earth, Florence Hassing of Truman and Shirley Millmann of Delavan. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
