We bid farewell to Merlin Stone of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 10, 2025 at the age of 75. He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore R Stone and Margaret Stone (Poppler); his grandson James Joel Carlson; his great grandchild Clyde Perrigo; his siblings, David and Agnes Stone; and his siblings-in-law, Fred Boothman, James and Dianna Werfelman.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dottie" Burrell Carlson; his children, Leslie Fisher (Gary Laidley), Laurie Forest (Bill) of Fort Lupton, CO, Lesa Page and Robert Carlson (Heather) of West Fargo, ND; his grandchildren, Bailee Audette (Austin), Morgan Nordheim, Ridge Fisher, Hope Hickman, Tiana Hickman, Kayleigh Hickman, Cole Forest, Bernt Bratager (Rachel), Alexzander Page (Ella), Quinten Page, Bryanna Perrigo (Nash), Abigail Carlson and Katilyn Carlson; his great grandchildren, Porter Perrigo and Oaklyn Forest; and his siblings-in-law, Walter, Maryannette Burrell, Beverly Boothman and Marilyn Bauer (Dave).
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church (16180 336th St SE, Mentor, MN 56736). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
