With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martin Paul Egeland of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, who passed away on April 11, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nels Egeland and Philomene Egeland (Feist); and his siblings, Robert Egeland, Kenneth Egeland and Norma Gregoire.
He is survived by: his wife Roxine Egeland; his children, Sandi Gador, Lori Gast (Kyle), Robyn Bies and Marty Egeland (Shannon); his siblings, John Egeland, Wayne Egeland, Michael Egeland (Georgia), Patrick Egeland, Joann Juneau (Bob) and Diane Legvold; his grandchildren, Alexis "Lexy" Hartz, Lily Gador, Chloe Torgerson, Reese Gast, Kacey Gast, Bailee Bies, Max Bies, Miley Bies, Wryder Egeland, Anna Egeland and Maddyn Egeland; and his great grandchildren, Knox Hartz and Nash Hartz.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (200 3rd St NW, East Grand Forks, MN 56721). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the East Grand Forks VFW Post #3817 American Legion Post #157. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 12:40 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (2203 River Rd NW, East Grand Forks, MN 56721).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the VFW or any veteran organization.
