With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mahlon Edgar Edmonson of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, born in Houston, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his wife Joan; his parents, Howard and Lillian; his stepmother Evelyn; his siblings, Billy and Lorelle Hendricks; his stepbrother Steve Barr; and his stepson-in-law Cory Bryant.
He is survived by: his daughter Lori Rodgers; his stepchildren, Lisa Nelson (Michael) and Doug Wangen; his grandchildren, Paige Rodgers, Brooke Carlson and Nate Waskul; his great grandchildren, Ella and Elaina Hinkemeyer; his stepsiblings, Doug Barr (Vicki), Karen Torgerson (John) and Debra Bowers (Alan); his brother-in-law Dave Hendricks; and his pet Baxter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Never one to sit still for long, he later worked at Walmart in Detroit Lakes for over 10 years, retiring for a second time when the pandemic began.
In lieu of flowers, his daughter Lori is asking for donations be made to the Grand Forks Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mahlon's memory and to show gratitude for the peace they provided him in his final years and days.
