She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Omvig and Ruby Omvig (Paulson); her brothers, Thomas and Lawrence Omvig (Shirley); and her nephew Terrial Omvig.
She is survived by: her child Jackie; her husband Dale Vetter; her children, Sheri Miller (Jason) of West Fargo, Michael Vetter of Grand Forks, Jacqueline Gratz (Mike) of West Fargo and Jana Suder (Rockey) of West Fargo; her grandchildren, Jordan Dufault, Jake Dufault, Ben Miller, Makayla Gratz, Brianna Gratz, Kyra Suder, Jade Suder and Avery Suder; her brother Dennis Omvig (Betty) of Montrose, CO; and her sister-in-law Sharon Omvig of Mandan, ND. She is also survived by eight grandchildren.
INURNMENT: Because of her selflessness and love of teaching, Lavina decided to donate her body to UND School of Medicine so she can continue teaching long after she is gone.
