It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Olafson of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, born in Marion, North Dakota, who passed away on January 19, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Matzke (Engen) and Edwin Matzke; and her siblings, Duane Matzke and Beverly Rominsky. She is survived by: her husband Terry; her children, Jay Olafson (Meredith) of Fargo, Jill Thompson (David) and Jon Olafson (Jerry Brindisi) of Denver, CO; her grandchildren, Michelle Lass, Jessica Olafson, Krissy Olafson, Trevor Olafson, Neil Thompson, Kyle Thompson, Kayla Thompson and Jadyn Thompson; her great grandchildren, MayCie Lass, Harper Lass and Jaylee Lass; and her sister Gloria Gudmestad of Perham, MN. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
