She was predeceased by: her parents, Thelmer Haugen and Violet Haugen (Gerou); her husband Tom Boushey; her great great grandchild Eric Schultz; and her son-in-law Gene Skarsten.
She is survived by: her children, Chuck Boushey (Shirley), Linda Skarsten, Joe Boushey (Wendy) of Fargo, Randy Boushey (Bonnie) and Julie Lindsey (Brent) of Columbus, Ohio; her sister Kay Kennedy of Grand Forks, ND; and her grandchildren, Rick Boushey (Gwen), Chris Boushey (Amy), Mark Boushey, Milissa VanEps (Ryan), Amy Bohlman (Dave), Jason Boushey (Ann), Eric Boushey (Devon), Ryan Lindsey (Charlotte), Chad Lindsey, Nicole Kazmierczak (Jamie), Jenni Bruer (Zach), Katelyn Vargas (Frankie) and Jayden Schreurs (Matt). She is also survived by 19 Great-Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the Shriners Children's Hospital or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, two causes that were close to Joy's heart.
