The passing of Joy Marie Boushey of East Grand Forks, Minnesota leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on February 19, 2025 at the age of 89. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Joy Marie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joy Marie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Violet Haugen and Thelmer Haugen; and her husband Tom. She is survived by: her children, Charles Boushey (Shirley), Linda Skarsten (Gene), Randall Boushey (Bonnie), Joseph Boushey (Wendy) and Julie Lindsey (Brent); and her sister Kay Kennedy of Grand Forks. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Dahl Funeral Home (2029 Central Ave NW, East Grand Forks, MN 56721). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the Shriners Children's Hospital or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, two causes that were close to Joy's heart.
