He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Borgen and Almira Borgen (Vezina); his brothers, Lars and Clare; and his nephews, Kevin and Curtis Borgen.
He is survived by: his wife Leona Ackerman; his children, Jeff Borgen (Beth) and Jodi Danner (Ty); and his brother Dennis Borgen (Geri). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
He also served with the East Grand Forks Heritage Foundation for over 30 years.
