He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. King and Mary Ann King (Driscoll); his sons, Michael C. and Thomas E. King; his siblings, Thomas McMahon, John King and Susan King; and his brother-in-law Donald DeMers.
He is survived by: his children, Colleen Freeman (Michael) of Fayetteville, Richard King (Stefanie) of Lake Worth and Daniel King (Tamara) of Hastings; his daughter-in-law Lori King of Mission Viejo; his brother Patrick King; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth McMahon, Dawn King, James DeMers (Linda) of Apple Valley, Dennis DeMers (Linda) and Michael DeMers (Delores) of Las Cruces. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask for memorials be made to the Rita King (Rita and James King) Scholarship fund at Sacred Heart Catholic School, East Grand Forks, Minnesota.
