He is survived by: his wife Marion Hettwer; his children, John (Janet), Robert (Lisa), Deanne Wavra (Craig) and Julie Bryant (Chad); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Larsen (Brandon), Alyssa, Matt, Jordan, Eric, Ryan and Kelli; his great grandchildren, Camden and Theodore; his sisters, Emily Rapacz (Fran) and Mary Barsness; and his sister-in-law Jan Vasek.
