He was predeceased by: his parents, Vlady Vacura and Madeline Vacura (Schneeweis); his daughter Sherri; his wife Shirley Nelson; and his brothers, Donnie and Richard.

He is survived by: his children, Kimberly, Cory and Gary Vacura, Jr.; and his siblings, Jake Vacura (Carolyn) of Visalia, CA, Ginger Bestland, Nancy Belgarde and East.
