He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolf H. Mattson and Mathilda C. Erickson Mattson; his grandparents, Andrew O., Christine Erickson, Erick and Johanna Mattson; his wife Mary Ann Elaine Grover; his sister Adeline Teigland; and his son-in-law Donald McDowell (Mac).
He is survived by: his children, Susan McDowell (Randy Carlson), Christine McGaha (David), Erick Mattson (Kathy), Scott Mattson (Tracey) and Rebecca Mattson; and his friends, Glenn Hanson, Verna, Jim Lambert, June, Clyde Ziegelmann, Tammy, Paul Kvernen and Connie Anderson. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and special nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
