He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Milton Aker and Grace Aker (Ostgarden); his wife Faye Aker (Doble); his daughters, Rachel Aker and Becca Walk (Ryan); his grandson Emmitt; his sister Michelle Aker (Dale Bruski); his nieces and nephews, Jeremy Aker (Jackie), East, Greg Sorvig (Rachel) of Carmel, IN, Katie Isbell (Daniel) of Portage, MI, Bryan Vold of St. Louis Park, MN, Matthew Vold (Tori) of Grand Forks, ND and Kelly Odden (Jordan) of Jamestown, ND; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Julia, Jolie, Jadyn, Jacob, Leona, Elise, Halle and Luke; his sister Denise; and also Grace Aker (Ostgarden).
